QUICKIE GROOVE

The Quickie Groove™ is essentially two chairs rolled into one. The Groove features the unique capability to switch from front-wheel-drive to rear-wheel drive and vice versa. When coupled with the Quickie Rhythm™ (a mid-wheel drive), the two chairs provide three different drive-wheel combinations (front-wheel, mid-wheel, and rear-wheel), all capable of connecting with a standard Rehab seating system or the Perfect Fit® seating system. The result: a modular approach that offers multiple options.

  • Front Wheel/Rear Wheel Reversibility™
  • Choosing the best drive-wheel configuration can be a frustrating process. With the Quickie Groove, if users select a front-wheel drive over a rear-wheel drive and then change their mind, they can simply turn the seat around and reprogram the motor outputs. This is a very unique option in today's powerchair market.
  • Delphi® Electronics
  • Delphi electronics has supplied advanced technology to the automotive industry for years. Systems such as real-time traffic navigation, satellite radio, touch-screen navigation, and mobile video are just a few of the more visible options found in many of today's high-end automobiles. Using this same know-how, Delphi will soon bring integrated infrared activation systems, Windows based display menus, customized buttons, and extensive diagnostic tools to Sunrise Medical's Rhythm and Groove power platforms.
  • Perfect Fit Seating System™
  • An amazing 7" of backrest-width adjustment and 5" of seat-width adjustment make the Perfect Fit seating system an industry leader. But it doesn't end there: both the seat and backrest adjust independently, providing an ideal solution for users who are disproportionately wide in the hips or in the shoulders.
  • Power Module Options
  • The Quickie Groove can be ordered with either a power tilt module, a power lift module, or a stacked combination of both (Coming Soon). The ability to stack power modules opens up new possibilities while simultaneously preserving valuable battery space/size underneath the chair. Both modules can be added to the Perfect Fit® seating system or the standard Rehab seating system. The Perfect Fit seating system also features optional power recline with shear reduction.
  • The Quickie Groove employs a 2-form Suspension™ on both its rear-wheel drive configuration and its front-wheel drive configuration. When in rear-wheel drive, this suspension system absorbs the heavy bumps felt directly under the user. When in front-wheel drive, it helps cushion forward pitching that sometimes happens when breaking while traveling down a hill.

  • Delphi™ electronics takes user safety very seriously. This is why the new Delphi motor controllers are programmed to keep the motors running anytime thermal rollback (or overheating) occurs. Most electronic manufacturers program their motor controllers to shut down during a thermal rollback. However, this can be dangerous if a chair is in the middle of a busy intersection. This is why Delphi motor controllers are designed to reduce power in a series of steps when a controller goes into thermal rollback.
  •
  • For some users, transferring in and out of a power chair to a car, van, or truck seat can be difficult and time consuming. This is why The Quickie Groove features an optional transit tie-down system (Available during initial order only).
  •
  • The Quickie Groove features only high output 4-pole motors. For a performance chair, it is critical that power and reliability are not compromised. It is no surprise that the 4-pole motor, with its proven track record, was chosen for the job.
  •
  • Intuitive torque is another way Delphi electronics help create the optimal ride. Intuitive torque ensures that plenty of backup power is quickly available at low speeds when chairs need a boost to clear doorstops or climb obstacles. At high speeds, this same backup power is available in smaller more controlled amounts, which prevents dangerous overcompensation that often contributes to erratic chair performance.

  • A common complaint with many power swing-away footrests is that the release levers tend to catch on doorways and other obstacles. To address this problem, Quickie Groove footrests are designed with a flat release-lever profile. This new design also features a stout locking mechanism and steel construction.
